what are the pre-production issues for the production company when making films?

1. A writer named Richard Curtis was the idea behind the film the Boat That Rocked. Curtis Also Wrote The Boat That Rocked.
2. The genre of this film is comedy but Curtis said that he wanted the film "to be a cross between animal house and titanic". i dont think there would be any issues with this genre as many people like a comedy film, however some people may not agree with some of the stuff that goes on during the film.
3. the idea for The Boat That Rocked came from Richard Curtis who wanted to set a film in 1966 based on the real pirate radio station named radio caroline, in an era when the BBC only licensed radio broadcaster on the UK mainland was restricted by union agreements to playing a very limited amount or recoreded music each week.
4.The script for The Boat That Rocked was original and was written by Richard Curtis who recieved help from the producer Hilary Bevan Jones.
5. the films production coast exceeded £30 million and had a gross income of $35,166,683. working title films and universal pictures (the producers) had a direct link with finance.
6. Bil Nighly who is a well known actor was cast as one of the main characters - Quentin. he has been in many other films such as Love Actually, shaun of the dead and the hitch hickers guide to the galaxy. as Bil Nighly was associated for the comedy aspect of Love Actually this will have a good impression on The Boat That Rocked.
other main cast members include;
Michael Hadly, Charlie Rowe, Lucy Fleming, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Rhys Darby, Chris O'Dows, Tom Sturridge, Katherine Parkinson and Talulah Riley.
7. The producers of The Boast That Rocked were tim Bevan, Eric Fellner and Hilary Bevan Jones.
8. The director of The Boat That Rocked was Richard Curtis who wrote the film.
9. composed the film music?
